ABOUT US
BACKGROUND
In March 2023, The Greater Salisbury Committee (GSC) put together a group of community stakeholders and mental health practitioners to discuss the mental health needs of our community with the goal of creating a long-term action plan for change. Since that time, representatives from the following organizations have met approximately once per month to develop short- and long-term tangible goals: GSC/GSC Foundation, TidalHealth, TidalHealth Foundation, Perdue Foundation, Henson Foundation, Philip & Barbara Long Foundation, Salisbury University, Center for Healthy Communities (SU), Wor-Wic Community College, Wicomico County Local Management Board, Wicomico County Behavioral Health Authority, Chesapeake Healthcare, The Child & Family Center, and Evolve Mental Wellness. Through our meetings, we have developed a mission statement and the following goals.

A collaboration of community partners, practitioners, and educators working to turn the tide on mental health needs on the Lower Eastern Shore.
